Prof. Yong Yang is currently a Nanqiang distinguished professor in the college of chemistry and chemical engineering of Xiamen University. He has engaged in research on energy electrochemistry, especially in-situ spectroscopic characterization technology of positive electrode materials, solid electrolytes, functional electrolytes and battery materials for lithium / sodium ion batteries. He has won the 8th "Outstanding Science and Technology Workers of Fujian Province"(2023),the Battery Division Technology Award of the ECS (2020), the China Electrochemical Contribution Award (2017), the Technology award of the International Battery Materials Association (IBA) (2014), the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (1999), the national candidate of the "new century talent project" of the Ministry of Personnel (2004), and the special government allowance of the State Council (2006). He is currently the editor in chief of the internationally renowned battery magazine Journal of Power Sources (if = 9.63), the first vice president of the international society of battery materials (IBA), the Advisory Executive Committee of the international Lithium Battery Conference (IMLB), and so on. He has published two Chinese and English monographs, and more than 400 papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, authorized or applied for more than 40 invention patents, and trained more than 100 postdoctoral, doctoral and master's students.
