On March 25, 2019, The awarding ceremony of "Huawei Doctor Scholarship" set up by Watt Lab of Huawei Technology Co., Ltd. in our group was successfully held in Lecture Hall 205, Lu Jiaxi. Dr. Yangxing Li, chief scientist of Huawei Watt Lab, as the representative of the company, attended the ceremony with Professor Yang Yong and jointly presented the award to three award-winning doctoral students, Hongchun Wang, Yuxuan Xiang and Wenhua Zuo (second from left to right).

Dr. Yangxing Li delivered a speech at the ceremony. He reviewed the friendly exchange and cooperation between Huawei and the research group over the years, affirmed the achievements and international academic status of the research group over the years, praised the work style and academic quality of the teachers and students in the research group, and put forward his expectations and wishes for the future development of the graduate students in the research group. He summed up the lithium-ion batteries in electric cars, large energy storage systems, and consumer electronics, the application of key technologies on the 3 c class lithium ion battery conclude, think synthesis can be commercialized emerging electrode material system and the development of the advanced test characterization methods is to break the energy constraints and challenges one of the most important aspects of the energy storage bottlenecksFinally, Dr. Yangxing Li listened carefully to the work reports of the three award-winning doctoral students. Wenhua Zuo introduced the modification of sodium electrically layered cathode materials by doping and ALD coating method, and further studied the modification mechanism by means of NMR, in-situ XRD, SEM and TEM. He also introduced the method of studying the deep mechanism of voltage lag in lithium-rich materials by means of spectrum and theoretical calculation. The work introduced by Yuxuan Xiang focuses on the development of advanced NMR technology, using NMR imaging technology and online NMR detection technology to conduct real-time research on the dendrite growth process of sodium metal anode. The work introduced by Hongchun Wang  focuses on GARNET solid electrolyte/electrode interface, in which electrolyte/lithium metal anode adopts two different strategies to improve the interface contact, which effectively solves the application of lithium metal anode in GARNET electrolyte. In terms of positive electrode/electrolyte, we mainly explore in situ TEM to observe the stability and evolution mechanism of the interface. Professor Yang and Dr Li gave guidance and suggestions for the future development of the three students. The atmosphere was very warm.
