Prof.Yong Yang has been selected for the top 0.05% of global scholars in 2024

  Recently, the international academic institution Scholar GPS (hereinafter referred to as the "institution", www.Scholargps. com) released Highly Ranked Scholars of the top 0.05% of global scholars in 2024.11 scholars from Xiamen University have been selected for the Highly Ranked Scholar - Prior 5 Years. Professor Yang’group is also among them.

Highly Ranked Scholars refer to a group of authors who have the most fruitful academic output (number of published papers), ranking in the top 0.05% or higher in the ScholarGPS ranking. With the unique classification system of ScholarGPS, the institution has divided over 200 million recorded academic publications into 14 fields, 177 disciplines, and more than 350000 different majors, generating over 30 million detailed personal profiles of scholars. Thus, for the first time, top scholars have been identified in various fields, disciplines, and specialties. It is reported that the data used to identify top scholars in ScholarGPS is weighted by the number of authors for each publication and citation based on the scholars' lifetime or past five years of academic activities, and self citation is excluded. The ranking covers all scholars, including those who are no longer active, deceased, and retired.
