According to the official announcement on the website of the International Electrochemical Society on 5.11, Professor Yang Yong from our institute has been elected as an ISE Fellow (Fellow of the International Electrochemical Society) for the year 2026. It is known that the International Electrochemical Society awards ISE Fellow status to several individuals each year, aiming to recognize the continuous outstanding scientific and/or technical achievements made by international electrochemical society members in the field of electrochemistry. Candidates for ISE Fellow must still be fully active in the research field and have made significant contributions to the field of electrochemistry in the past few years. This honor is strictly limited to about 5% of active members. Professor Yang Yong has been engaged in the research of energy electrochemistry and its energy storage batteries for a long time. He has achieved influential research results in high specific energy lithium/sodium-ion battery materials, battery reaction mechanisms, and in situ characterization methods. He has published over 500 papers in important academic journals at home and abroad, with citations of over 40,000 times (H=111, Google Scholar). He has successively served as the Editor of the renowned battery journal J Power Sources and was the president of the International Battery Materials Association (IBA), and was elected as an ISE Fellow (2024).
